Eucharistic Ministers of Holy Communion assist at the celebration of the Eucharist by assisting in the distribution of the Body and Blood of Christ. Eucharistic Ministers show the greatest reverence for the most holy Eucharist by their demeanor, their attire, and the manner in which they share the Body and Blood of Christ with the congregation. Eucharistic Ministers provide outreach to Homebound, Hospital and Nursing Home.
Members of the parish who feel called to this ministry must have made their confirmation. Please contact the Parish Office (860-684-2705) to express interest. Training will be provided.
At this time, due to the current Covid pandemic, the Body of Christ can only be distributed by the priest. However, we hope that the Diocese will soon allow Eucharistic Ministers back on the altar as part of our celebrations.
