When the Church comes together in the liturgical assembly to celebrate the Mass, or any other sacrament, we gather as a group of believers. Within any of our liturgies is the need for a varitey of ministries. Through our Baptism, we are called to share in the priesthood of Christ, and to participate in the public worship which is the liturgy of the Church (Unites States Conference of Catholic Bishops).
There are roles in the liturgy which are exercised by lay people who place their time and talent at the service of the liturgical assembly. These ministries include serving as altar servers, lectors, Extraordinary ministers of Holy Communion, music ministers (cantors, choir members, instrumentalists) and ushers. Our Parish Liturgy Committee meets seasonally to plan the Masses and Spiritual needs of each season.
We encourage parish members to prayfully consider service in these ministries. Please review the information under the Liturgical Ministries tabs for further details and contact information.
