Prayer is the lifting up of our minds and hearts to God.  It is and must be a two-way conversation.  Whether we pray through the intercession of others, friends, family, parishioners, our beloved dead, our holy angels and saints, our Blessed Mother, or Jesus, all prayer is directed to the Trinity-Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  Prayer is a major way of the mystical Body of Christ; i.e., living on earth, souls in Purgatory and the blessed in Heaven, to interact with the Trinity for the salvation of souls.
