The Music Ministry includes cantors, choir members and instrumentalists. Music helps our parish worship more fully and more effectively. It adds a meaning and feeling to our prayers that spoken words alone cannot express. Parishioners are encouraged to sing as part of their worship experience. Music enhances the spirituality of the Mass and encourages participation by all attendees.
Music Liturgy Committee
The members select hymns which reinforce the message in the readings and psalms proclaimed each week. They work with our parish musicians to help make the music an integral part of each liturgical service. The committee meets bimonthly.
Church Choirs
We are blessed with an adult choir, cantors and a funeral choir. Because of their love of music, we are able to offer choral leadership at most weekend Masses, on Holy Days and at funeral Masses.
Normally the adult choir rehearses Mondays at 6:00 p.m., in the choir loft. The funeral choir practices before each Funeral Mass. If you like to sing, enjoy having music in church, play an instrument, or just love singing your prayers, we invite you to join us. All activities will resume once the pandemic is over.
